Savani Choker Necklace
Handcrafted in gold, this Indian wedding choker necklace is designed as a flexible row of uncut diamond and gem-encrusted plaques, kundan-set using the traditional jadai technique.
Arranged in a play of squares and marquise-shaped units set within a versatile color palette of rubies and emeralds, the necklace is bordered with fungar - small gold cups to which pearls, with red beads, are wired - on the top and fringes of seed pearls and tourmaline beads, called laria, at the bottom. Scallops, kundan-set with uncut diamonds and dressed with laria of seed pearls and tourmaline beads, give the necklace a graceful, majestic air.
